The potency doesnt wear off. It generally increases until the 4th flush, which is peak potency, then declines again.

Casings will keep fruiting until they become contaminated, the pH drops to low, or the nutrients run out.

Cakes wlll run out of nutes quickly, but if you case them, just dunk before casing, and after 2nd flush...you should get 3-5 flushes off BRF cakes...but those will be small. The shrooms get fewer and bigger as flushes go on though.

Using a long term buffer (powdered oyster shells) in your casing, and using peat/verm casing will help too..

Trich is so bad in my area, this is what I have to do for 9 months out of the year. It works fine, but I still can't get 4 flushes. I wash the entire casing off under the sink, then apply new casing each flush. In my area, it's the only way to get three flushes...lol

So do I consider myself luckey to be on flush seven off my casings and cakes?

I dunk and roll the cakes every flush, and i wash out the casings and repatch each time.

Am I getting awsome pinsets? Hell no. Not anymore, just good sized mushrooms.

But my bulk, and new casings are not ready yet so I don't need the space yet!

I am just going to keep doing what I am doing and let er run tell it runs no more.
