? about Honey water

ok i'm trying this for the first time, the honey water has been sitting for about a week now, the white stuff is starting to show up in it so last night i injected it with the H2O2, and when i checked it tonight there was a pile of "brown stuff" at the bottom, when i shook it it dispursed back thruout the water, is that normal or is it messed up????

ahh great, thats good to hear, would of hated to have to scrap the first batch.
one other thing. . . how soon can i use this to inject jars?? and i take the HW out of its warm place and put it in the fridge now to keep it fresh right?

That usually only happens if all of the honey wasnt dissolved before sterilization. And if it was , perhaps you cooked it too long and carmelized the sugars. Its not supposed to be there.

its been completly clear for a week, it's only done this after i put H2O2 in. . . . . if it carmalized shouldt i have seen it right off the bat

some visual aids may help out

Ive definately never seen anything like that in my honey water. and ive made LOTS. I put 2 teaspoons of alfalfa honey into a half pint, then fill 3/4 of the way with hot water and stir, then PC for 15 minutes @15psi. I also never have a need for h202 ( but have used it before) as I beleive the sugar in the honey helps to reduce contams, and if you are sterile you shouldnt have to worry about it anyways.

How much h2o2 at what concentration? Any chance you fried it with the peroxide?
