and it's a beautiful thing
there's a whole new 'mentality' on the uprise that's bringing with it a sort of openness I think this world so desperately needs
you can see this unrestrained love at pretty much any of our gatherings (seeing as the people at this site tend to be closer to this upcomming 'wave' then most)
and just a glimps of the upcomming tsunami of emotional freedom that's on its way, is enough to put a tear in the eye of even the hardest of hearts
the future that awaits us will be filled with a whole new breed of people that are open an honest / loving and forgiving / playful and energetic / and most of all - eager to please
the world will be a very beautiful place indeed

One of the essential teachings of the ancient Mystery Schools, was that your mind gravitates conditions into your life, that match what is going on inside your head.
"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he"
Since I have been applying both Eastern & Western Metaphysical & Occult principles in my life since since 1967, I can attest that this is true. Your attitudes about Life generate the conditions that you will be dealing with.
Therefore, have faith that you can figure things out, and you will find solutions to problems. Realize that there is worthiness, and even nobility within yourself, and you will discover what those qualities really are. Accept that joy, beauty, and grace belong to all sentient beings, and you will discover ways of making those things a fact of life in this world.
Do not give fear power over you. You were made for courage. Do not listen to dream killers. All of the good things in this world, began with dreams. Whenever you have an insight into how things actually work, immediately make the effort to put it into practice.
Perfection is like life itself : always a work-in-progress. Do not be dismayed, if you screw up. Learn from the experience, adapt, and move on. This is how we create the future.
-------------------- The Soul exists simultaneously throughout all of Time. The Ego merely exists now.

I think that's a matter of perspective... for some, these "details" are, in fact, the full-focused whole.
Thinking about the future is simply imagination.
Peace.

No one really thinks of the past unless they need to study one of life's lessons.

Thinking of the past is also an exercise in imagination, albeit not quite as creative as thinking of the future, since one may have memories....
Regardless of what tense you may be thinking about, there is only one tense that one exists within...

What about thinking into the future ? Dejavu .... How many people already got a glimpse of the future just by imagining it ? Jules Verne is a good example

How bout it. Before you can pull a future into making it your NOW, you have to grab one from the imagination realms first for you to create and manifest here.
Granted, many spend time imagining "seeing" into future possibilities and leave it at that. Makes your body vehicle sort of a waste of potentials to be realized here and now though.
When you find one you like, then the idea is to get to creating it so you can realize in a now location at some point.
Quick add............when you go to "imagine" or "see" and fid one you like and want to realise also look to "imagine" and "see" the how toos that will make it easier to manifest here. The how can come from that place too.
Imagination is really just unmanifest future potential. If we start spending more time on "seeing into the hows" who knows what we can make be in a now point?

For the record, I never implied anything as to what extends from thinking of the past or the future as being a work of imagination.
I was just exposing the nature of the mind and the way that it relates to a past that already occured in the present moment and the way that it relates to a future that it imagines in the present moment.
One constant, eternal, ever-present moment/awareness.
Peace.

The Shroomery is not a representative sample of society. I saw the same warm, loving atmosphere in the rave scene, at least in my early raving years. The same could be said of the hippie scene back in the 60's. There have been small utopian groups going back a long way, but they have all failed to spread the love and acceptance across society as a whole.

Very true, I went through the 70s full of belief that change was inevitable.
Well maybe it is. I think it is. But not the time frame most are looking at. Evolution is very patient. As the population grows the problems grow in proportion. I think the mix hasn't changed, but one, very small step in my lifetime. Maybe that's just enough?

I agree completely
it seems to me though that there are a lot more of these types of groups around then most people think...cause everyone seems to be experiencing the same sort of spiritual freedom (just in their own unique ways, ya know)
an I got this gut instinct that 'change' is closer then we think
