Saskatchewan, Canada does not use daylight savings time either.
I've spent many years there and I must say I like not changing the clock.
On the east coast of Canada, they tried double daylight savings time once (change the clock two hours). They didn't do that for long.
What funny is Newfoundland, with it's half hour time zone!

I'm referring to the American standard rule (inches and feet) verses the metric rule.
America is in its own little world using daylight savings and inches and feet. While the rest (most) of the world is using the metric system and don't have to worry about changing their clocks twice a year. 
America needs to get over certain "traditions"....using the length of some mans body parts to measure things is some what barbaric IMO
I understand the reasoning behind daylight savings. However children don't come home from school and help work on the farm anymore, so the whole "Daylight Savings" system needs to be thrown out along with the feet/inches ruler.
Wake up America......this it the 21st century not the 18th

I have no idea what daylight savings has to do with the metric system. And I really don't even want an explanation for that.
As far as daylight savings time goes, some of you people will get pissed at anything. Let any country say whatever time they want it to be. Let them make up their own year if they want to. In Japan they go by the year of the Emperor. I think the guy is like 70, so in Japan the year is 70. And I could give a flying fuck.
Do I care about what time it is in France, or fucking Swaziland? Don't give a rats ass on that one. I don't think the State of Indiana does Daylight Savings Time. So what? I think that Ohio does. Who cares? Should the people of Ohio be allowed to try and maximize the number of hours of precious sunlight in the winter months, so that they can drive to and from work in safer conditions? If they want to I guess. She the people of Indiana be allowed to do nothing? Why the hell not.
If we shouldn't have daylight savings time, why even have time zones? What is the purpose of having a different time anywhere? To maximize the usage of light? Well that is the same as daylight savings time. Fucking time zone Nazis. It is all some clandestine plan to take over the free world.
You want the actual conspiracy scoop? Daylight savings time was actually a coup for the entrenched media comglomerates that owned the movie theaters. They were severly threatened by Drive In's and they used Daylight Savings Time as their vehicle to screw the pooch on that one. It was a bitter struggle and the sit down movie houses prevailed. With drive ins having to start an hour later they became less practicle and soon started to fade from the horizon.
Name one country with the metric system that also happens to be the worlds greatest superpower.

WTF???? I dont think anyone said anything about a conspiracy. Daylight Savings was put into effect WAY before drive in movie theaters.
