Lady Salvia stump

Hi, I've received a salvia d. plant in a tube a few days ago, and when I opened it all the leaves were brown and fallen off (problems at the postal office), leaving a stump behind with some good roots. I've planted it in a 70-30% mixture of earth and sand + some gravel. There are two growthknods, one on the base at groundlevel (no leaves there) and one at the top (starting to get brown, the little leaf visible on the pic has now become brown). Yesterday I've put it in a tent of household foil, so now the humidity level is allright. The ground humidity is good enough. It stands in the greenhouse in our garden at day and when the sun goes under I put it in the box (c pic) for 5-6 hours under a blue and a white tl tube (each 24 watt). The temperature in the greenhouse is approximately 24 degrees, and in the box 21-26.

Now my question is: will it get better, or should I lose hope? Is there anything I could improve? Thx & grtz

If it has a good set of roots, it should bounce back. I would ease off on the sunlight (in the greenhouse) for now, the flouros should be enough to stimulate it. If it's in a humidity tent, you should probably just sit back and wait. It has a good chance of growing again, Salvia is a pretty durable plant. Don't overwater or spray the stump, either, or you might encourage rot. Anyhoo, good luck, and when new leaves start popping out, throw her in the greenhouse and fertilize at half-strength.

Yeah If it has nice roots it should be fine. Dont keep the soils to saturated, Without leaves it isnt pulling up much moisture so you could rot it. Good luck.

Awesome! Patience pays off. It'll get bigger, she loves to grow...

I just transplanted it before I took the pic. Maybe the roots are 1/10th of the whole pot. I've put it in a better groundmix, because it didn't grow very fast in the beginning because I used the wrong ground. It grows under two lighttubes of 16 and 24 watt, and it seems that those lights are sufficient enough.
