    #4167917 - 05/12/05 09:04 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

okay i have many casings of poo, they are cased with verm and coir, about a 70/30,being more verm then coir,a 3 inch sub about a 3/4 inch casing layer,as soon as i saw mycel pop thru the casing i started fruiting,it has been 4 days and i have a few spots of mycel over the casing layer not big patches just small strans, i was wanting to know if i fruited to soon? and if pins will form beneath the surface?now keep in mind right under the surface,i beleave my casing is pretty even!!!!im also not sure if much more mycel will pop thru the casing layer!!!as it being the forth day now, temps 73,rh 95%,and constant air exchange, this is all in a greenhouse!!!

You'll want to continue patching until all of the mycelium is evenly coming up through the casing layer. I believe it's not recommended to put into the fruiting chamber until you have a good number of spots poking through.

Keep an eye on the casing and avoid misting directly on the mycelium.

Be patient...And continue doing what your doing, I wouldnt patch or shock or anything...just mist lightly as needed (I would also avoid direct misting myc much, but you gotta keep the casing layer moist!) and provide fresh air and good humidity (with light).

Growing with bags, start to finish (including my new grain and substrate prep)
Anyone looking to start bulk tubs/mono tubs/shotgun hybrids? Good tubs to use..
How I do grain (old still good tips)
Turn your closet into a fruiting chamber
Casing layer colonization and overlay

i mist every other day lightly i point the mister up and in a side to side motion mist them for several seconds, the rh is about 95% i use natural sunlight not direct and im running a coolmist 24/7 and a ultrasonic 5 mins every 2 hours once pinning starts i will only use the coolmist i just hope i will get a good pinset, hell its almost like the casing pic you have but less mycel,i hope things turn out good, what do u think?
