found these in my yard today underneath an old piece of picket fence. I can't see any bruising, also I cannot get a spore print. I'm new, maybe i'm doing something wrong. any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It looks like you have some kind of cup fungi. Was it growing from the fence post or from the ground? Is it rubbery or brittle?

The brown cup fungi are difficult to differentiate and should not be eaten. Peziza seems a likely genus but it could be something else.
