I've never ridden a motorcycle, but I love the hell out of dirt bikes.

They get my adrenaline pumping like no other jumping dirt hills and such. Mmm  :drooling:

Yeah my bike is a honda xr 600. Romps the shit out of the dirt. I need to get the knobie back on instead of these beat slicks.

Probably, they do that in ontario as well, for any motor vehicle really. High speed chases usually aren't worth killing innocents over.

i dont think its in texas only. Here also. a motorcycle doing a buck 60 on a highway with lights on behind him means certain death and pulling over for going that fast just wouldnt be cool. Plus a cop on a bikes ass at any speed could be bad. We all know cops break te rule no tailgeteing all the time.

Yeah she got the slicks on it, turn signals, etc. It is work keeping her up right on sharp turns in the dirt. To tall with the heavy dutey spring in it. Works nice on trails though. Goes almost to fast.

My away message when im out is ~ ripping dirt and ripping skin.

only 35mpg, I thought a bike would get a lot better than that. My Honda Accord gets around 30, and use to get upwards of 33mpg. A Honda Insight can get over 60mpg. Still, I'm sure a bike is a hell of a lot more fun than a hybrid-electric car.

My tank is a 2 gallon tank and i can get about 80 before i switch to reserve. I use the gas pretty fast do to the way i drive and excelerate. If i took it easy i would hope to get improved milage.

other bikes get more milage than that.the bike he is talking about wasnt made for good gas mileage.

diesel bikes get up to 130 miles per gallon but they are not out yet.they will within 5 years i imagine

i've been looking in the papers lately for a sportbike. i have this strong urge to get one..i used to want a cruiser, but now i want one of those fast little fuckers.

this would be my first bike, i'm thinking maybe something around 600cc like a ninja or one of those SV750s or a Suzuki GS500F...fuck i don't know...

i like the look of this little GS500F though, i just wish i could find a used one for sale!! jeez, i've looked all over and it seems nobody wants to sell.

I love my bike, but I don't use it anymore and I am in the process of selling it.  Just seems like a waste sitting in the garage.

This is what I own...

I started riding dirt bikes when I was about 5 or 6 (as soon as I could ride a bicycle my dad put me on one).  Now I have to have a bike I can take off-road.  I wouldn't buy anything made exclusively for street.  But thats just me.

What exactly do you consider "the right price"? I think I'm asking a fair price (for both myself and the buyer). And I've maintained it well. PM me if you really want details.

thats what i got, i bought it with 1000 mile its a 99 and cost me 2500. Fair deal in my opinion. Goes on and off road, good for long hauls if you can sit that llong. You could put a bullet in the thing and it still run. Not to mention it can go as fast as you can handle. The fastest I cared to go was a 100 mph for a couple miles. But then I realised i'd skip across the pathment for a 1/4 mile before i hit a pole or a car at that speed and slowed down.

summit, i mean if the 'price was right' meaning if i had enough to offer what you're asking..

shiek, that's a good looking bike. it'd be fun to haul ass through this desert with that thing. for some reason though, these ninjas and CBRs are looking HOT to me. i want one badly...and have wanted one for a long time, i just haven't come across anybody selling one close to me yet.

you ever ride that thing to the store...?

I ride it to the store to the bars, I ride it down the high way staying at a steady 80. The Honda xr600 was designed for desert racing actualy, mine has the baja kit on it.

Ninjas and the like are nice, but when it comes down to manuvarability enduro has it hands down. Croch Rockets got speed and can lay down turns nice, but they are large and bulky. Cruisers are nice at slower speeds but dangerus on high ways. Someone cuts you off you are screwed.

I feel enduro kinda is the perfect mix.

I think this is about to be my project. I wanna stand wheelies 3rd gear with no clutch. http://members.aol.com/xr650rr/

rm250 good choice   i have an 05

as for the 600 supersports i really don't think thats a such a good idea for a beginner felix. the power those bikes have would make a beginner shit his pants.the gs500f is ok so is the sv650 and the ex500.you can buy a used katana ex500 learn on it for a few months or a year and sell it for the same price.then get a nice looking ninja zx6r.also you dont want a nice bike for your first bike because you will crash it.

also check out  sportbikes.net

Lol I was a beginner a few months ago. When i bought it. My first time at a stop sign i fell over. I would stall out at lights. Shit was crazy. Then when i got comfortable on it i would get heavy on the gas. Then i pulled a wheely across a road. Shit my self again. I shit my self on a reguler bassis. Just yesterday was my first real fall and of course it was the only day i didnt wear my gloves. I think i broke or fractured my toe.
