Stop doing shrooms, every so often

I know that psilocybin and what not can give people new awareness and amazement for life and the world around them. I agree that these and similar substances have positive effects if used properly.
If you do obtain enlightenment or new awareness then that's wonderful. But if you do acheive this, then what is the point of continuing to use mushrooms over and over? Once every few months makes sense, so you can remind yourself what you've learned or whatever you're seeking. But if you do mushrooms on a weekly or daily basis I think you have a problem. There is no need to do them that much, for spiritual purposes. The brain can only take so much. When you do them too much, it becomes not an inner spiritual journey for understanding, but just a need for pleasure. I think using mushrooms in this manner could lead to problems in your life. If your normal every day life means anything to you.
A lot of times you don't realize what effect they have on you until years later and you stop, its hard to tell when you're in the wake of things.
Now I'm not saying they'll cause brain damage. However, your brain naturally changes it's chemistry throughout life as you experience new events and grow. If you're constantly high, then you're brain wont be able to naturally grow and mature. This is especially true when you're young. If you're old and wise and have lived most of your life, I find little to worry. Your mind can only take so much stimulation and introspective thought. Your mind is a sensitive organ, you should care for it and not over work it, or it will wear out or tire, like any other part of your body.
Once again, I'm not a mushroom hater. I love psychedelics and wish everyone could get a glimpse of the 'greater picture' and insight that these chemicals provide. I just think that too much of anything can cause problems. Go easy and be wise.
recommend : one dose per month.... what do you think?

Don't bother giving anybody any fucking lectures. People will do what they want to do. BTW I don't think any one uses mushrooms daily or more that twice a week. Is it even possible to do mushrooms once a week steadily??

I don't think he was lecturing anyone, he's just giving his opinion. But yes, I think most of us don't do mushrooms all the time since you can't and because there's no need to. Once a month is what I do. I wouldn't do it more than once every other week

Like hatter said, people will do what they do. They don't give a fuck what anyone else says. I personally don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks of my psychadelic usage. I don't use any drug on an everyday basis, but a couple of times a year I go on a week long drug binge where all day everyday I'm on a particular psychadelic. It doesn't bother me that one day I may end up old and stupid, it happens to the best of us.
I doubt anyone uses any psychadelic weekly, weed and speed or crack and heroine, perhaps, but psychadelics most likely not.
I think using mushrooms in this manner could lead to problems in your life. If your normal every day life means anything to you.
People that regret past decisions do them for the wrong reasons and shouldn't have done them in the first place. You should never do something you will regret.
Don't beleive everything you know.

No. This comes off as a lecture. We are well aware of the dangers, and the fact that tolerances mount quickly. Why would anyone go to such a length just to explain the obvious?
You should only "trip" when the spirit calls you. But thats my opinion

if i had acid, then id probably never do shrooms, and i would just be trippin out like every fuckin day ... heh
shrooms are too emotionally harsh for me to do often ... and it tends to get quite repetitive, acid is always a new experience for me, nice and fresh
It must be hard to trip if you anthropomorphize your shrooms.
