Psilocybe Cubensis In Prescott/Northern Arizona

I know I'm not supposed to ask if mushrooms grow in my "state or imediate area", because this information is supposedly easily found in the FAQ or internet. Welll, I have done a bunch of searching on the internet, and my state is not listed in the FAQ.
I'm going to be taking a small vacation up to the woods in Prescott, AZ at the end of this month, where it rains often. I know cubensis grows wild throughout the world, but I was wondering if any of you Shroomerites have seen them in Prescott, Flagstaff, or any other N. AZ location first hand. This would be very helpful to me.
Thanks =0)

P. Cubensis does not grow in Arizona.
The reason why your state is not listed in the FAQ is because active mushrooms do not grow wild there. Except for Pan subbs which are ubiquitous.

What about Amanita muscaria?..Not sure if you were considering that an active mushroom.

Amanita muscaria do grow here in arizona! I found allot of them growing in the White Mountains this year. I found them somewhere between Show Low and springerville area. Here's a picture i took last week!
I also seen 3 other kinds growing on cow dung too. In the meadows and forest up here. I would hope that there are other arizona folks that can post pictures of the type of psilocybin shrooms growing around here.
These are from last week too! Can someone please id them.
thanks

krunch- The last picture contains all cubes. In the top picture the small ones are too, but not the big ones on the outside. Those are very nice specimens, I hope you picked them all.

Hello! i live close by there and from personal experience i can tell you that cubensis do in fact grow in that area! your best bet is right when its monsoon season around the lakeside area (a town) , i go in mid July and August. I usually look in horse manure off of trails and side stops, and in three or four hours of diligent searching i never fail to find some. I will post some pictures after my next hunt.

Could you potentially start spoors with the correct greenhouse and equipment? This would be for Scientific study only in micro dosing.

So I live in the RimRock, AZ area, east of Sedona and this year there has been quite a bit of excessive rain. My thoughts are maybe towards the oak creek river area there could be some species that typically don't show every year. Since last year there was massive flooding there has been a lot of new trees washed downstream. Maybe look toward the Oak Creek area. about an 1 to 1.5 hour drive from the Prescott way. Be careful coming over that moutain pass Jerome way!
