From what I know drying in the only way to keep them for more than a day or two. Enjoy

Don't freeze them...that turns them to mush when they thaw--the cells are ruptured by the ice crystals. In the future, preserve them fresh by putting them in a paper bag in the fridge; can last for up to a week depending on the kind of mushroom. Alternatively, I've heard you can immerse them in honey and other preservatives, but I'm not sure on the feasability of this option.

You FROZE fresh shrooms? Doing so, will cause them to be goo/mush like, when you thaw them out.
Unless you have one hell of a vaccum pump like the one below:

The only other choice... is to DRY THEM...cracker dry.

Here ya go... This is what I use.. it's awesome works great.. Just before you put it in there fan dry your shrooms for 12-24 hours then put them in there.

Yeah, the freezer definately fucked those up but for future reference you could put them in honey if you really wanted to - It works but its so much easier to dry them and eat or make tea...

I'm curious about this submerged in honey theory, for a couple reasons.
1. I definately prefer the texture of fresh shrooms over dried (obviously)
2. It wouldn't taste like dirt if it was coated in honey
So I wonder how long they could keep like that without decaying or getting molded or such.
