Its day 10 and I have moved one of my bags from the spawn room to the grow room. I'm a bit concerned though and wonder if I put enough holes in the bags. I used a hole punch when making the bags and put about 90 holes in the bag. The bags are 36-inches. I was reading and read that I should have 200-300 holes. What do you think? Do I need more holes. Also the grow room RH is ranges between 86 - 90 %. Do I still need to mist the bags and do I just spray the bags with a mister?
Well that is kind of what I thought too but in both Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms (Stamets) and the book the Mushroom Cultivator (staments and Chilton) as well as a video I have all say and show lots more than 90 holes.. But! book and videos dont seem to compare to first hand experience form other.. Thanks for your input! The Oysters are dong great and with the holes that are there and are coming out everywere.
