Martha Stewart vs Perlite ???????
    #4157017 - 05/10/05 12:44 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

Ive been reading Galore about semi automated fruiting chambers and well this seems to be the best for me
http://www.mycotopia.net/discus/messages/5/87192.html?1071104749
Except I would only be using 1 greenhouse..

Now would this eliminate

-Perlite
-Misting
-Fanning

????
As long as the Thing doesnt Drown the shrooms in fog it should be ok??

A timer would be set for 5-10 mins every hour or so.

Now Ive been reading Alot about it and it seems like it's a  really good investment if you

-HATE CAKERS!!
-dont wanna keep 100% humidity!!

WEll please let me know because im almost out the door ready to go buy a Humidifier(ultrasonic) and well I dont wanna go through all the hassel to find out that the thing doesnt even work as well as my current setup with perlite!!

Thnx guys I know you'll set me straight!

That setup is really nice. If you have a nice big walk-in closet or a spare room I say go for it, but be prepared to spend around $100 or so on everything you will need

If you have the room for it & means to move one.
A dead upright freezer is a Rolls Royce incubator / fruiting chamber.

Big dead 22 cubic foot can often be had for FREE, from appliance repair places.
You cannot beat FREE.

They have built in shelves,a drain in the bottom, are well insulated, have an air tight seal, are easy to modify, alter & can be locked. They don't look out of place, in a garage - or spare room either.

A single coolmist provides fresh air exchange & maintains 85% rh, with a misting now & then.

A single small watt light bulb provides all the light required.

It takes no wizard to rig a timer to anything inside it.

Just something to think about.

An ultra sonic humidifier is for raising humidity and the cool mist is for air exchange.  That's how Magash does his Martha.  :doggystyle:
