Few hunting Questions

Hello, I plan on doing my first hunt within the next few days and have questions.
Obviously I am going to find a cow field and hunt there. But I have a critical questions. Just because there are cows (therefore shit), right weather, and rained, does this actually mean I will find any?
I am a little scared about hunting lol. I live in Louisiana, and these hicks won't hesitate to use their rifles and shot guns. Any tips as far as hunting goes? I was thinking maybe not using a flash light or bring one incase I can't see anything.. I'm a little concerned about the hunt.
Please tell me as many tips as you can. Thanks in advanced.

You never know if a field that you have never been to before will produce. Generally, a new field (5 years or less) will have a lower chance of producing than an older field (say.. 30 years or so). And please dont refer to the indigenous farm folk as "hicks".

I live in Louisiana too, around BR. The weather is actually goin to be good throughout the week, but if u are scared of getting caught go and meet a landowner and ask if u can "take pictures", or find mushrooms for cooking, or something like that. I would never suggested trespassing without permission. I just dont think its worth the possible consequences.
...and also if u do go meet a landowner, dont look like a stoner, make urself presentable and speak intelligently.
