This is all that i could get in my area. Is this vermiculite too fine to use in PF cakes?

no man it is not, use it up. the myc is not particular as to what type of verm you use. just make sure that you don't pack it into your jars or tap your jars down. keep it nice and fluffy.

Thats some pretty fine vermiculite.

I'd say that'll work, just don't tamp down the substrate when loading into the jars. Keep it loose and fluffy.

Back when I did cakes, I used some pretty fine vermiculite and never realy had problems. Maybe take a day longer to reach 100% colonization.

the boys are right...don't tap that stuff down.

or you will really have a hard time getting your jars to fully colonize.

fine verm is better for casing material than PF cakes...but it is do-able!~
