Your death
    #4151480 - 05/08/05 11:18 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Invision your own death. What will it be like? Psysically and emotionally, ect. Has anyone had a vision of their death? Anyone think they will die the traditional American death, in the hospital hooked up?  :mushroom2:

I'll probably be on the phone with my wife, with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson in the other room, tell my wife to hold on a second, get a gun and shoot myself in the head.

I doubt I'll care much- I've never been one to fear death. I worry about the suffering before death more than the death itself, actually, such as if I was caught by the masses and torched alive. What is death other than the loss of this ego and mind? It's selfish to try to horde this small piece of consciousness for decades on end if you're only going to be decrepit and useless with it anyway.

I sure as hell hope I don't die in the traditional American dream fashion.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna die from some epic freakin plumet to the ground...like falling off a building, or not having my parachute open for me while sky-diving, or some crazy ass shit like that anyways

Kind of like Hunter S. Tompson. I like your honesty.

I see myself alone in the mountains. Knowing I'm done for, I want to be alone at the end. Just some time to reflect look at the beatiful earth who was my real mother, and maybe one last dose of shrooms. Then off the cliff we go. I definately want to die away from all things human. I will feel so much safer dying alone. Really that's how I have lived.  :mushroom2:

Actually, that was Hunter S. Thompson, exactly copied. I wanted to see if you'd notice.

But seriously, if I grow to be old and don't die from being run over by an angry bull or falling out of a tractor, I'll probably take the Thompson solution. Or maybe that of Socrates. Who knows what poisons they'll have decades from now?

When it comes I hope to be either so busy as to not notice it, or so senile as to not care :smirk:

If I had to die violently, I'd want it to be saving the life of another.

If I had to die peacefully, I'd want it to be in my bed. Hopefully with a few loved ones around.

I have absolutely no idea when it will come, though. I'd put it off forever, if I could.

Like a splinter in your mind...
Driving you mad.

In a sense, you're always alone when you die.

I don't care how I die. If it is the loss of ego, why involve your ego one last time when it is your time? I don't see the point in having a last request.

LIES LIES LIES!! HAVE YOU EVER DIED??? [Re: Alan Stone]
    #4152402 - 05/09/05 04:29 AM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Death doesn't exist.

Death is nonexistance.

Nonexistance is death.

Death is nothing.

Nothing is death.

"Yeah, well but what about when your body dies yattayattayattayattayatta"

CALM THE FUCK DOWN, YOU'RE BAFFLED AND CONFUSED, THERE IS NO SENSE IN THIS OR ANY OTHER WORLD

......

IT IS WRONG, IT IS ETERNAL

THIS IS WRONG, THIS IS ETERNAL

EVERYTHING IS WRONG, EVERYTHING IS ETERNAL

ETERNAL IS WRONG

WRONG IS ETERNAL.

"Yes, yes, but in the physical sense" ERRR ERRRRRRRRRR GUESS AGAIN

There is none of this physical sense nonsense, and there most of all is no such thing as death - not that death would be a thing, if it infact were anything, however this is how little sense language is making.

If you think I am the one not making sense, it is because I am right and you are wrong.

Because everything is wrong, so if I'm wrong, I have to be right.

Of course by my own premise, but are yours any better?

On a bed, in peace, with my wife injecting me with a massive dose of LSD, just like huxley, I suppose.

Please lay off the Jack Daniels. It kills w-a-y too many brain cells. Try a refreshing lite beer instead.

probably a cancer will interrupt an otherwise great beginning
or whatever you call this.
and then a few will be upset.
and the whole thing will continue very well - much better without the sick guy.
maybe a few shiny stories will remain.

Frankly, I'm not afraid to say the thought of death scares the hell out of me. But then again, if I wind up at 80 in a nursing home drooling and defecating into diapers, I might reconsider that....

I definitely see myself dying by being violently smashed, whether it's in a car accident, by jumping off a building, etc.

I will be going along my way and BAM! Whiteness, blackness, okay I can see again! I'm on the ground. Am I in pain? It hurts too much to tell. God the sky looks beautiful. *someone rushes to me on the ground. I tell them some wise shit, then die*

that's how I see it.
