Quick questions about flushes
    #4150549 - 05/08/05 05:35 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

Hey there,
I have a couple of questions about flushes.

1. What is the normal time between the 1st and 2nd flush ?
2. If you dunked and rolled before the 1st flush do you need to do it after each one, and if you don't, will you still get a second flush ?
3. Is it true that the later flushes are more potent ?

Thanks !

1.  Can be up to 7 days until the next flush, but is usually sooner than than.
2.  I would suggest dunking between each flush to rehydrate the cake.  Roll it again if necessary, depending on how you dunked it.  Even if you don't dunk and roll between flushes you will still get more shrooms, but the flushes will be smalled than if you had dunked between them.  Mushies are 90% water, so keeping the cake well hydrated will increase the size of your flushes.
3.  No.

Cased bulk substrates is 5 to 7 days between flushes.
I don't know with cakes.

LOL.... back in the day. I read the FAQ & achives on bulk for a month, bought an AA PC, WBS, jars, trays, compost / h/poo substrate, casing mix & started out with bulk. Never done a PF cake.

my cakes seem to start pinning within 3 days after i dunk, my casings seem to take maybe 4-5 days to start pinning again.

with the casings after i pick the last stragglers i mist the shit out of them, let em sit overnight, and sprinkle dry verm lightly over the top, then give em a light mist depending on how dry the verm on top is after another day. seems to work well.

Under his instruction, I taped drumsticks to his head and turned him into a sort of mummy, or perhaps a caterpiller in a cocoon. He remains this way for about three hours, making bizarre noises, pretending to be a new species that must learn to walk and talk and eat, etc. And he communicates with other life forms by way of the antennae on his head. Eventually we jam a tube from a waterbong into it's mouth and figure he's learned all he needs to know.
