need help with last stage of growing.....
    #4149780 - 05/08/05 12:17 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

i have successfully grown cakes of B+ on BRF in half pint jars and 1 pint jars.... now i have finished my terrarium and im getting ready to stick the cakes in there.... what i was wondering is what would be a better option to work with.... a buddy told me i shouldn't use and soil mix... instead he said i should just turn the jars upside down and set out the cakes on the tops of the jars..... should i do that or should i instead crumble up my cakes into some kind of soil mix??? and if so what would be the best soil mix to work with and how should i use it???? thanks for the help... im almost there i just need a little help with this last part...
thanks

Do a search on CASING. In the FAQ or in the forums.

well...you can just fruit the cakes inside your terrarium.
stick them on top of something...to keep them off the perlite.

or you could crumble the cakes and put a casing layer on top of the cakes.

some links for you to read on casing.

I like the one directly in the center, the big shroom standing straight and tall right off the middle top of the cake.

They kinda look like Ecuador to me.

I only have grown two strains before though. I don't really bother cause the (EQ) culture i have now is better than i could have ever asked for.
