The full picture
    #4146613 - 05/07/05 03:22 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

I wish I could understand more of reality. Sometimes I can get a sneak peek at the whole picture, but thats one slippery eel. Its like trying to imagine the amount of molecules there are in a glass of water. Theres an infinite amount of factors to take into consideration. Emotions, objects, places, history, even the list of factors seems to be endless...

The possibilities are endless, I would ponder this for the rest of my life if there was a chance at understanding a fraction of the real deal.

What you refer to as "real" is the 3rd reel of a 5 reel, motion picture called "reality"

I need to remember that one. It bears re-quoting.

Actually, I lifted that from Firesign Theater. :mushroom2:

There is no "understanding" the real deal, there is only being it.

Man it's all good. Life is like that for a reason. It is so complex so that we can hang out here and figure it all out, we can't possibly ever figure it all out, so uh figure out yourself and then hang out while your here, talk about everything. Talk about every possible thing you could so that when your gone there was nothing left to talk about.

Just don't fall under the fallacious, incoherent notion that one must know EVERYTHING in order to know ANYTHING.

Also don't forget that knowledge is entirely relative, and what you may know to be so in one set of circumstances, may not be so in another set of circumstances. Existence is dynamic, so if you let yourself become dynamic with it, (being here and now), then there is no need to understand existence, as you ARE existence. Or so they say.

Dont sweat it. No one will every know The Full Picture, and those who already claim to, are quite probably full of shit, no matter how many times the LSD and mushrooms trick the mind into thinking weve found it .

But what if you saying you know everything is just a trick to help yourself build confidence. It doesn't matter that I know everything, I say I do because everything that matters to me I know, and thats everything, so I know everything
