Built to Spill - Free Show

Should I go? A good friend of mine and some of his pals from work are going to a Built To Spill show tonite at a small private college. It's free for anybody that wants to show up (in the sticks of Iowa...)
Is this band any good? Worth a free show? I'm a long-haired bearded dude... will I look out of place at this gig?

YES! THEY ARE AMAZING!! One of my favorite rock bands of all time. I'm seeing them on Thursday next week and again on Sunday and you should NOT FUCKING MISS THIS!!!!!
They'll probably cover Neil Young's Cortez the Killer complete with 17 minutes of bitching guitar.
Don't miss it!!

I know lots of hippies that don't like straight-up rock...
And they all love Built to Spill.
Jam bands like the Slip cover them too.

I'm actually playing a BTS song tonight on my radio show. They are one of the greatest indie rock bands ever, I wouldn't be surprised if you came back from this show a huge fan. Damn you, more notice next time!

Okay, so I think I'll go. It's free, and if it sucks too much I can just sit in the lot and get high like a good little hippie.

Hey, can you PM me the info on when and where this is exactly. I gather it's in grinnel from the BTS website, but there's no time posted. If I can find out the details, I'll be there. Maybe I'll see you at the show. Peace

I saw Yo La Tengo at this same little college a year or two ago. That show was free also.
