Sorry, no invitro images (I assume you mean mycelium on agar). Contact Spore Works regarding a culture.

I don't see this listed as a product for sale. Hope it will be soon.

I noticed that you only have one picture of an egg-primordia. Did you find that it was difficult to catch that form? Did you decide to work with this species because of the co-op thread awhile back? A good number of folks here have been trying to get this, unsuccessfully.

Actually, work on this species was started long before the co-op thread. It really is a bitch to get and keep viable cultures. The thought is spores are more stable for storage and distribution.

What is the shelf life on the species? You have to keep transfering? Or do you need to keep cloning fruites?

I have read about this in GGMM and seems like it does well in hot weather. I was wondering how it might do in northeast Fl? Seems like the main concern would be protecting the ground from getting to cold in winter. Also, I have been looking for something that could be grown rather easily outdoors (shaded of course) on leaf piles. Another candidate that I have considered for this circumstance is the blewitt mushroom. Thanks for any feedback--

A lot of mushrooms are easy to cultivate outdoors. I think that almost all edible, medicinal and anyhow someway useful or interesting saprobic mushrooms can or have been cultivated outdoors. Most mushrooms that are considered difficult indoors such as Grifola, Lepista and even Morels, could be easy as pie provided you water them enough when they are in season. With oyster mushrooms, if you give them enough water, they will produce year round. Regardless of species, you will have to be able to produce or buy spawn and know how to use it for each species.

Workman has grown Lepista by burying a straw block in soil. You can grow Pl. eryngii in the same method as the paddy straw mushroom. Florida is an excellent place to grow Paddy Straws outdoors because it is subtropical.
