what a crock of BS
    #4131975 - 05/04/05 12:24 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

case and point:

this girl says to me yesterday, "i like you, alot.. a whole hell of alot, and it would be a dream come true to be with you. but, as you know i haven't been around as much now that i'm working, and i'm still dating theron. i'm the kind of person that's afraid to let go of something they're used to and sure of, for something new and not sure about... unfortunatly.. that leads to stringing people along.. and i hate doing that, i dont want to do that to you...i don't want to let go of what you and i already have..."

if i could bitchslap some sense into her i sure would love to

in the mean time i'm gonna keep on listening to this  hydra show
:drumming:

peace!

Yeah why do some girls have to beat around the bush so much? If she's worried about stringing you along then she should realize that a simple "I don't like you like that" gets the point across much better.

She sounds confused, but she also sounds like she's trying to be as honest with you as possible.  I wouldn't dismiss what she's saying as bullshit, maybe she's just trying to do what's right, in her mind.

it seems like she'd rather be unhappy and stable, than happy and unstable ... but whatever. her loss in the end

i don't know why you'd tell someone "being with you would be a dream" but then give them excuses about why you can't be with them. maybe she wants to keep it a dream, and live in reality.

however, i'd rather invest some time with non-mind-gaming playing females, who are at least mature enough to know what they want

well, change is sometimes a scary thing, and if she's been with her current boyfriend for a while, there's a certain level of comfort associated with their relationship being so familiar.

Also, would you really want to "be with" someone who left their current boyfriend for you?? I mean, I'm not one to judge, and I certainly don't know the whole situation, but if she would leave someone she's committed to for someone else, who's to say she wouldn't do the same to you down the road?

My advice is to find someone, like you said, who knows what they want, and who's SINGLE. You don't want to be her rebound guy.

i pretty much agree with your entire post. i think it's been made pretty clear that this situation is already fucked up, and i don't want to get burned in the end

she would always bitch to me about how her boyfriend is a mean, annoying, asshole and that guys suck, but when it comes down to it she stays in that same pattern. maybe it's like those women in abusive relationships that don't know anything else than what they're currently going through

the more i think about the situation the more i wonder why i even am thinking about it in the first place, y'know? no need to get tangled up in one girl's web, there's millions others out there

Also, some girls just like to know that they COULD have you if they wanted you, and once they know that they could, and its not a CHALLENGE anymore, then they lose interest.  If she's in a fucked up relationship right now, she'd probably carry over that baggage to another relationship she started right away anyways.  You're way better off man.  Sometimes my gender makes me ashamed I'm a girl

Right on Ifallapart! I know I'm not like that, but regardless most gals get grouped into the same category... unfairly accused of playing games, not knowing what we want, or being a whore.
I'm a decisive, take charge kind person. I don't play games with people and I tell it like it is. But, if your like that guys think your to forward and intimidating. Its a never ending battle.

Dnl... its hard to tell whats really coming out when someone says something like that. It could be all the different theories stated before. I think the major factor is that she's not ready for anything, and she won't be until she gets out of the bad relationship and thinks about what she wants.
No rebounds
