Too much concern?

I inoculate 12-half pint jars on monday, with Cambodian spores. About 1 CC per jar. I placed them in a dark room with temps between 75-85 F. I used the brf and vermiculite mix as the substrate. How long do you think till I see colonization of the jar? I know this takes paitence, but this is my first time. I'm a wee bit anxious.

It is usually said to be 3 to 5 days, but, that is at a stead 86 degrees incubation chamber. I would expect to wait 5 to 7 days before seeing growth.

Does the effectiveness of the jars decrease over time, if they have been steralized but not used? I had mine ready to go about a week and a half before the spores arrived.
