On May 7th the sixth annual Global Marijuana March will take place. From Albany to Zurich and in 26 different nations, citizens of the world will unite to protest prohibition. Why should you get involved?
Did you know:
That a Utah judge just sentenced a 25 year old pot dealer to 55 years in prison, although earlier that day the same judge sentenced a man to 22 years for beating an old woman to death? The judge stated that he had no choice in the sentencing, as he was bound by law.
John Ashcroft of the Federal Justice Department and the DEA are unconstitutionally embarking on a campaign of seizing privately-grown medical marijuana from sick California patients and their caregivers, arresting or prosecuting them, mounting paramilitary raids against them, harassing them, and taking other civil or administrative actions against them?
For the year 2005, 2,141 million dollars of taxpayer's money will be spent by the DEA. Most of this money is on the war against marijuana, a plant with no serious physical or mental side effects. The tabacco and alcohol industries are getting richer, while our school system and healthcare situation lacks appropriate funding.
You can make a difference! Prohibition must end! Please tell everyone you know and get involved. For more information visit Cures Not Wars.
