Tripping @ the Zoo
    #4125724 - 05/03/05 12:21 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

I'm not sure if any of you guys have tripped at the zoo before or not, but if not I would definitely reccomend it. On friday I ate 4 hits of acid (white blotters VERY STRONG) and journeyed to the zoo b/c they had some special event going on where it was open till like 2:00 a.m. and they had rides and shit.

Any way as we started to enter the zoo, the acid started kicking in. I heard some real weird noises, and ventured around the corner to see what it was. The noises were coming from a big flock of flamigos (i'm not sure if thats the right word to describe a group of flamigos but whatever). The flamigos were melting in and out of the water, and were changing colors from pink to white and back again. I knew at this point that we were going to be in for quite a ride. We got there really late and after we walked passed the flamigos a zoo employee informed us that the only exhibits that were open was the aquarium and the reptile area.

So first we decide to head into the aqaurium area, and this is when the acid really started kicking my ass. The first tank I see, I walk right up to and push my face against the glass trying to figure out what is in there and this fucking 800lb manatee swims right up to my face, and it looks like it is popping out of the glass. This really wigged me out at first, but once I realized that it was a manatee it was throughly entertaining. We then proceeded to this GIANT fish tank that was probably about 20 feet deep and like 100ft long, and started looking in but for some reason all the lights were turned off in it so it was really hard to see what was in it. At this point we realized that we had one of those LED light flashlight key chains, and started flashing it in the tank which lit it up pretty nicely. As soon as we lit the tank up the first thing we see is this fairly large shark, which swam right up to the glass and again looked like it was about to pop right through the glass, this time i was actually fairly scared and had to take a couple steps back, but then started watching the sea cucumbers melt and morph into ground of the aquarium.

any way i'm gonna cut the trip report off here, as it is really hard for me to explain what i was seeing when we got to the snake pit, but let me just say the whole experience was FUCKING AWESOME! This is definitely one of the best trips i've ever had, and I would definitely reccomend a tripping appearance at the zoo. I'm not sure how enojoyable this would be during the day w/the large amounts of people that would be there, and it would be much more obvious to people that you were tripping. So if you do decide you want to give this a go, you may want to see if your zoo has any special events coming up in which they are open late, as I know my zoo has 7 or 8 events over the course of the spring/summer

Thos animals are mostly all born in captivity and are treated very well. It isn't like jail its more like a hotel with great room service

Things to do on LSD or Shrooms this summer:
Paramount Canada's Wonderland (awesome amusement park)
Metro Toronto Zoo

its more like growing up and spending your life in a locked hotel room with room service and not having even a clue what lies outside your window, besides a parking lot and people passing by and looking in.

You do realize that in a sense, we live in that reality anyway. If its all you know, its all youll accept(not that zoos are a great humane place, but the animals dont know the difference).

Haha. Nice idea. I'll keep that one in mind.

Christ... I just realized: I was going to agree that it would bum me out, but then I "followed my train of thought" along from that thought.

I realized I'd probably end up wanting to set them all free... and considering amazement with the laws of physics on some doses, I'm fairly sure there's a chance I'd end up failing to understand (or at the very least forget) the laws of the United States, too...
