Does anyone here listen to Jack Johnson?
I've been listening to him for a while, and I like most of his stuff. It's so laid back and mellow its hard to find a 'bad' song. Picked up his new CD today, On and On. Its pretty good, very similar to his prior albums. Mostly acoustic stuff, which I like. Great to listen to while burning it too. I'm sure he was high through most of the recordings anyways.
Everyone get high and chill out with me

Never heard em, but a gal I know used to see him a lot back in California before he got big. I guess her brother used to surf for the same shop as him too.

He's the Elvis Presley of the mellow surf scene.
Actually, I had no idea he had a DVD out. I'll probably look for it.

Different strokes I guess. Too bad this isn't OTD, then I could say something mean about your mother for having such poor taste in music.

Jack johnson is really cool. I have just about quit listening to that genre of music, but he's one artist that I still love. I've been to 3 of his concerts and they all rocked. I haven't heard his new CD yet, but i'll probably pick it up next time i hit the mall. At one concert Jack Johnson and Ben Harper started rocking out some Zeppelin (Whole lotta love). It was great

Jack Johnson =
-------------------- "Apparently there is a great discovery or insight which our culture is deliberately designed to supress, distort and ignore. That is that Nature is some kind of minded entity. That Nature is not simply the random flight of atoms through electromagnetic fields. Nature is not the empty, despiritualized lumpen matter that we inherit from modern physics. But it is instead a kind of intelligence, a kind of mind." -Terence McKenna

They're all really good.
I'd either pick up On and On, or In between Dreams. His other one, Brushfire Fairytales, is alright. The other ones are better though IMO. You should definitely go buy one. If you like Ben Harper you'll like Jack Johnson. It's all real mellow acoustic stuff.
He's kind of a Bob Marley, Dave Mathews mix. But he has his own style too. Good stuff.
