PF or Rye Tek for outdoor use.

For growing outside we will be using Moe's outdoor tek. But Moe claims that the more spawn area the better. So what is the best way to inaculate a 1 quart jar for this outdoor grow. Should we use rye berries for it and if we do how do we set up the jar? Do we need those filters? What do you recommend? Thanks

whatever you feel most comfortable using...both will work.

I suggest making more than 1 quart jar worth...that would be a small patch.

There are some good Rye Teks on the board...do a search.

yes you should use a filter, tyvek or polyfil for quart jars.

I thought that 1 quart jars don't colonize fast if at all. We would use about 2-3 quarts. How do we set up the filter? What is it? A jar itself or a lid? thanks
