    #4120987 - 05/01/05 11:02 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

This one is horse manure and was spawned about 10 days ago.

This is compost, spawned with grain 16 days ago.

Thanks!

I would wait a full day on the first one & about 3 days on the second one. But, that is just me.

does it seem long to you--16 days--or do some substrates just take longer? i have no problem waiting, just wanted some opinions from those with more experience with bulk!

thanks!

CO2: 5000 - 10,000 ppm.
Fresh Air Exchanges: 0 per hour.

Post Casing/Prepinning:
Relative Humidity: 90 %. Substrate Temperature: 84 - 86?F.
Duration of Case Run: 5-10 days.
CO2: 5000-10,000 ppm.
Fresh Air Exchanges: 0 per hour.
Light: Incubation in total darkness.

Light: Diffuse natural or exposure for 12-16 hours/day of grow-lux type fluorescent light high in blue spectra at the 480 nanometer wavelength.

Cropping:
Relative Humidity: 85-92%. (For cakes: 95-100% )
Air Temperature: 74-78 ?F.
CO2 : less than 5000 ppm.
Fresh Air Exchanges: 1 -3 per hour.
Flushing Pattern: Every 5-8 days.

hey Agar--thanks for the quote! I've got the book right here, along with "Growing Gourmet & Medicinal Mushrooms", and that's why i ask if this is taking a bit long. perhaps it is not-so-optimal moisture in the compost?

Probably all will be OK. Just curious about your experiences with bulk, and all your opinions.

and, Sammy, yes! it is HMC!!!
