how long do syringes stay good for?

I just recieved my syringes in the mail, and was wondering how long I can keep them for until using them..

I ran into an unfortunate circumstance and can't start my jars for a few more weeks yet, what's the longest I can keep them without them losing any effectiveness?

They are best in the first few months but I've seen syringes that were still clean and viable even after several years.

ok, another question...

if I were to use part of the syringe and then let the rest sit, would it stay good as long as the full syringe normally would?

sorry if these questions sound a little stupid, i've never done this shit before though
