As many of you know, I usually stay out of many heated debates. But in the recent light of the current situation between vendors, customers, and Shroomery advertisers. And from reading the "I Demand The Truth About McMan" thread I now feel as a vendor, I should reply.
In this place that we call a community, we must first all understand why we are here. In essence, it is to communicate about the cultivation of a mushroom. And on top of that, a mushroom that is considered illegal in most countries. Our conversations shouldn't be so secretive, but they must be. Our posting of pictures should be nonincriminating, but they might be.
We are all here becuase of our interest in an illegal substance. Thats the bottom line.
And if there's someone out there, vendor or non-vendor making threats that concern involving law enforcment, then we need to act as a community and protect each other. If peoples lives are dramatically altered (get arrested or searched by the DEA) then we must do something in order to protect the citizens of our community. We all know that there are enough outside forces against us already.
The Shroomery is a very friendly place. But when alleged threats are posted or emailed to respected memebers of our community action needs to be taken switfly. In other words "nip the problem right in the bud".
What disturbs me most is, what if a vendor gets upset with a customer? Is that vendor going to ruin that persons reputation here in our community? Or worse, take personal or legal action against that person? As important as the Shroomery members are, there is something that I think ALL vendors should rememeber.
Being a vendor myself, I know that people buy from us (just as they do you) for a variety of reasons. Good service, great product. But one of, if not most important of reasons is this:
Trust. (period)
Memebers here buy products from the vendors that help support this community becuase they probably feel as if they can trust us with their name, mailing addresses, and credit card numbers. They have a sense of trust becuase as vendors we all share the same passion for cultivation. And that passion has taken us to a point where we now want to help others. From newbie to cultivation guru...trust is largely given to us from the customer to PROTECT. And the same should hold true with the Shroomery members.
Now, its gotten to a point where vendors are threatening vendors.
To all vendors: What do you think our customers/potential customers are thinking of us now? Should they trust us? Should they look elsewhere? If the vendors in this community can't have respect for one another, what makes me think (the customer) that this vendor won't bring harm to me?
Recently, issues have risen that question the practices and motives of a few vendors here. And I feel that the main issue is customer trust. It can be manipulated pictures or manipulated emails. Regardless of what the case may be, trust should be maintained within our community so that the passion that we ALL HAVE can grow. If that trust becomes degraded, all parties involved will suffer.
In short. The vendors who really love this community will stand by it, through tough times and good times. Threats shouldn't be tolerated, but personal statements concerning the involvement of law enforcement SHOULD NOT be allowed in this community.
And its not becuase we should be politically correct, or "nice" to each other. Its because we are dealing with a topic that deals with an illegal substance. And that ALONE should be enough for us devoted enough to this community to watch out and to protect each other from such threatening people.

I must agree. There a quite a few vendors who support the community. This is really something special we have here so lets no ruin it. I know your fighting wont ever stop. You will defend your case on and on, but, it just wont matter. Neither sides will give up. So, lets take it to PM. I'm sure it can be settled more maturely there.

I don't think anybody can argue with that post, Lana...
Serious, or joking, threats concerning the involvement of law enforcement can NOT be tolerated in a community such as this.
In my book that is just as bad (worse even) than yelling "BOMB!" in an airport.
I think we all no what the next step is...
Banish ALL/ANY members who are involved in these sort of activities. Because their presence will only HURT this community, and that is something we all canNOT tolerate.

I TOTALY AGREE!! I'm not a vendor, however I'm well aware of the flames going on. I too have wondered what the fuck people are thinking sometimes. I would go on more, but to sumerize: YOU PUT IT BETTER THAN I COULD!
I'm glad somebody pointed this out without getting involved in the flame wars. Sure the flames can be entertaining to read, but how many have sit back and asked themselves "wah? what the fuck are we doing?" hehe

No, this time it is not directly Ralphsholes fault. But history has shown up that Ralphster is sneaky person who had a kewl idea of FSR to become popular, and then he became vendor.
Then he was allways asking for others opinion, while several of us know that he is using sneazy tactics.
I remember one post where Ralph was asking about should he make syringes, explaing it is good for newbies....(we all know that Ralph does not do it for bussines but for pure altruism)...and then he sets his prices at 12. even though naive people hoped that Ralph is sincer, and they where hoping that hge will set up lower prices.
This is only drop in the forest of Ralphsters paradoxes, which are not more paradox when you put a premise that all he does is for profit ONLY.
I was allways meantioning Ralphsters paradoxes about buying spores from MJ, and then spreading them for free .... idea that he shown up suddenly saying he was shroom grower from ever..cmon....you would shown up here years ago, not last year if that was true.... his mixing of two "separate" personalities ..ralph the vendor and ralph the FSR holder.... idea that he said he is giving up his FSR because of my and Max accusations about his sneaky tactics .... rapetative saying he is friend with everybody and not knowing no one at first (that is misusing of word friend) ..and showing how little his worrd worths...and MANY more paradoxes...
PS ...one more... when he said that he is gonna ruin all spore vendors by rhis FSR, and than becoming one of them... and one more.... when he is taking all the credits wich hurted honest vendors who where here before shroomery.... and many more
And now, ralph is staying great diplomate saying he has nothig with that, even mcman is his partner wich never suprised me.
If you are more interested more in those accusations, do a little search, and everything will become clear to you.

I don't know squat, but I am brand new, have used 3 syringes & 1 fsr print from Ralphster so far, and everything is GOOOODDD. I think his prices are fair, and his selection is nice.
Like I said, haven't been here long, and don't know much, but why shouldn't Ralph be a vendor? Even if his original intentions were to spread spores for free rather than profit, I don't see any reason why he couldn't/shouldn't change his mind. Besides, he IS still running the fsr, which sure as hell isn't putting dinner on his table!!
As long as his business practices are ethical (and nothing I've read leads me to believe otherwise) then he has just as much right to take on an enterprise as the rest of us, whatever that enterprise might be.
Every vendor I have ordered from to date was located thru the shroomery, and I have been happy with all orders thus far. As long as my experiments go well (and I am looking at my first batch of dried goodies now...yippee!!), I intend to order from everyone sooner or later, so I can sample a lot of variety, from spores to substrates.
The only thing that would make me avoid a vendor would be watching that vendor slam another without very good cause.
