What do you mean by bleach pasturization? For what in particular?

To pasturize bleach, or use bleach as a medium?

Ive read about people using bleach for the pasturization of straw. Ive seen it on other sites in grow logs but never managed to find a tek.

I don't think you need bleach man. Pasturizing straw does pretty well for fighting off contams. No worries.. just get a therm... stick it in some styraphome and let it float in a large pot. Get it up to 160 and stick your pillow case + straw into the pot for 1 hour.

Well I wasn't really looking for advice. I was moreso looking for any references to any tek's or info on the method.

but, then you will be left with bleach (clorine) residues in your substrate. how good will that be?

WELL... Ive seen an artical about the breakdown of bleach.. I know It conforms to health standards. If you have evidence to refute this I would like to see it. but as I said, Im not looking for advice, Im looking for references to bleach pasturization regarding straw/poo.

Well, as far as I can see bleach would not pasteurize straw or poo. It would kill anything on it. So that would be sterilizing. Pasteurizing is supposed to leave the 'beneficial' bacteria intact. Why don't you just put the straw in a bag in a big pot ~75-80 degrees celsius (not sure about F) to pasteurize?

well... strait bleach would kill everything.. but people over at mycotopia are useing a bleach mixture to pasturize their straw logs.

but really.. Ive tried to say this. Im not interested in speculation or opinyon.. Im simply looking for references to such a process.
