Here my first LBMs of the spring. About effing time. The first one I figure should be some kind of inocybe with the pronounced umbo and all though the sporeprint does look too dark. It was found at the foot of some kind of fir in rotting leaves. About 8cm tall. 3cm cap. Hollow stipe, non-attached gills.

The spore print can be seen above the cap in the previous photo.

And then there was this one growing from a rotting log. Approximately 8cm tall, 3 mm diameter stalk, pink spore print. Non-attached gills.

The pink spore print for this mushroom can be seen at the very top of the third photo in this post. I got greed and photographed it after a couple of hours--should have left it overnight.

Any insights?

Wallace

BTW, with the pink sporeprint, we should have an enteloma I figure. Fair enough?

The first ones suggest Inocybe to me, just as you suspect. That spore print is right in the range of normal Inocybe spore print colors. Another feature to check on suspected Inocybes is odor. Lots of Inocybes have a strong smell. If they are not Inocybes then Cortinarius would be the likely genus.

The others are very probably Pluteus. Enotolomas grow on the ground, not on wood. Given their appearance and the time of year they are likely to be Pluteus cervinus.

Good job with the photos (which show the features we need to see for identification) and actually making spore prints!

Happy mushrooming!
