You didn't see what we saw
According to your post, you didn't see it either.

Feelings, however, don't count, do they?
Depends on what you mean by "count". As evidence of anything concrete they are useless. See my thread on David Blaine where he stood on his toe and convinced people they were in the presence of a mystic. "I could feel his power." Or when he did a simple mentalist parlor trick, "I could feel that we were connecting mind to mind."

But David Blaine is just a street magician (unless you live in South Park). I'm sure the stuff he does is really cool to watch, but it isn't "real magic." I'm not even sure what "real magic" is; I used to experiment with what I thought was it as a teenager, and I have to admit there was some really interesting and somewhat freaky stuff, but I can't be sure now if it was all in our heads or if it was real.
Normal people will believe pretty much anything. That's why I usually call them stupid. I believe what I can see/experience.

Blaine is IRRELEVANT, we were discussing feelings as a metric of authenticity.

Someone claims to see a craft.
2 negative responses straight away.
Person who sees craft stops telling people due to negative response.
Truth is successfully hidden from the majority of the planet once again.
This is exactly why more evidence isn't available, because it is supressed by the stigma.

It is only suppressed by stigma because the people are not sure of what they saw - public "stigma" should really just be re-labeled as doubt, people do not believe stories of alien existence and so they react negatively to people they see as fabricating stories, you call it stigma, but I think people just won't listen to something they don't believe.
A lot of people believed that the earth was flat too, and to believe otherwise was seen as heretical until proof was presented. There is simply no proof of an E.T existence, stigma, while having a negative connotation might also be seen as a litmus test of the validity of an argument. Well, I don't want to really defend that, but I can see how many times stigma represents public disbelief or doubt, and that is what many times keeps the truth in check instead of covering it up. Without doubt and stigma we would see people worshipping one of the hundreds of people claiming to be the second coming of christ etc...

Someone claims to see a craft.
Someone claims to see...
large, hovering thing with many many lights all around it
Which could be anything from a blimp to a helicopter. Someone then jumps to the most implausible of all available explanations...
I've seen a visiting ship before
How is pointing this out a negative response?

I have never seen a disc helicopter with lights around its bottom rim that is practically soundless when stood just meters away from it hovering.
NO your right really, I should have walked away thinking "Its just a helicopter, its just a helicopter".
You are not understanding the definition of close encounter of the third kind. Go learn something about UFO's before you claim to have any knowledge on them. The average jo arguement is weak and only shows lack of knowledge and understanding for the topic...

Wel Dip, the truth is: UFOS land ALL THE TIME, but people that see them just don't know how to work a camera. I am going to start a "Basic Photography for UFO buffs" class.
