Identification please

I no how hard it is to identify a mushroom without a picture but i am askign you all to attempt it. I foudn some mushrooms growing on an old rotted slab of wood. They are fairly small with brown caps, the stems are thin and white. can anyone give me a few mroe detaisl i can poitn out they are sittign right next to me.

i gripped the one up and the bottoms of the gills turned a little blue if this is any help i donnot know

How bout you learn to identify it yourself. It's not that hard. I recommand Erowid's mushroom section as a starting point. It has a pictoral guide of mushrooms (including poisonous lookalikes) and pretty comprehensive identification information.

many of us would be happy to help, but you must provide more and more specific information, size, shape, etc. start by taking a spore print. this will help us narrow the field down from thousands to amoung a few hundred or less.
