Disinfectants
    #4112380 - 04/29/05 09:19 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

I know what role Disifectants play in thre growing process and I know lysol works but i dont want the smell lysol leaves the 'scents', so I was wondering if theres a way to get rid of scent by spraying through a cloth or something or if a disinfectant like bactine would work?

Use rubbing alcohol to sterilize surfaces, it's much more effective than Lysol.

Mix it with a bit of water to get some more mileage in a spray bottle. What are you using it for, disinfecting surfaces or spraying in mid-air?

To sterilize Everything both surfaces, mid air - THe method I'm using is The Quart Jar Way, and everytime it says to sterilize something it says use lysol but i wanna just use the Achohol/Water in the spray bottle method insteasd of the lysol, will that be ok? Personally I think it will be stronger and more effective.

For surfaces is fine, but there is no such thing as sterilizing the air unless you are running HEPA filtered air in your chamber 24/7. In other words, trying to clean the air is very impractical. Bacteria and mold spores are constantly falling all over your work area, there's nothing you can do to fight this except keep up fresh air exchange to ensure the contams don't get a foothold.

Some say they get mutants using Lysol anyway.

Use alcohol/water just in case.

For the surfaces that is
