Spores?

How do you know when is the time to get the spores from the mushroom? And what is the best method to get the spores?

let them grow until the cap is open fully and has a somewhat flat surface on the bottom. dont wait too long after its mature because it will start dropping them all over. but when the cap is fully extended chop off the stem as close to the cap as possible with a sterile x-acto knife and place it on a little piece of paper and cover it with an empty jar and wait a few hours or overnight. after a while remove the jar and teh cap and all your sppores will be stuck to the paper. now you got a print!
