I didn't want to steal your thunder about the third banning.
The good news is that you appear to be the Teflon Swami now.
After the uproar and backlash after the third banning, the admins seem uninterested in a repeat performance.

I recall three separate bannings with the second one that was short but after the list of unmet demands during the second one a longer third one was instituted.
But hey, lots of water under the bridge since December.

Actually, it was the curiousity and talk about Swami's banning that made me come to this forum.... It's all Swami's fault....!
I DO NOT want him banned, no need to shut anyone up - EVER....

I could probably come up with a good reason to ban someone. Not any of the reasons I have heard so far though.

/asks a question.
What would be the "good reason"?

Lets See. How about continual racial slurs with no other content in post. Threatening to kill people who disagree with ones view. Asking where to score drugs, ect.

I'm not saying they don't need love. They obviously do. Most responses to them would likely not be unconditional love. So yes, from afar...

Let me tell the story! Swami was banned twice for a total of 1 1/2 months.
No there wasn't a very good reason to ban him. There was some pressure to ban him, and the Admins caved w/o doing proper research (normally they do). Then, after his first 2 week ban was finished, Swami got banned again for mouthing off/creating a puppet. Let's put it this way, Swami was banned a second time for mouthing off about his first ban, then when his puppet was discovered, his second ban was extended.
There was a mob scene after both bans, but neither ban was shortened. Much Swama ensued. After he served his time for this invisible crime, and visible puppet, Swami returned... we all sat around the campfire, sang songs on the guitar, and ate s'mores.
It seems things have cooled over since... so people probably should stop their bitching.

Whoa, Cervantes must have went through some complete personal changes after the whole banning thing, the words he speaks now makes him look like an entirely different, reformed man.
I was just reading some of the old ban threads myself yesterday, coincidentally enough... After Jiggy made a comment in a thread, "How far have we come as a micro society here if we need to be regulated for the protection of personal ego issues?", I stared looking back through those posts, because I distinctly remembered her defending Swami's ban as he was upsetting people... something to that effect... truth is, I don't remember if it was in a post or in other forms of communication, but I got booted off the computer before I found anything. Maybe it wasn't her afterwards... but if it was... then she knows!
But ja, so it is interesting to see this all come up again.
Peace.

These are your own assumptions you present here and indeed a fantasy if you believe these phenomena to be 'baseless'.
In terms of UFO and ghost phenomena: To me a ton of official witnesses, unofficial witnesses, government documents and an en mass of data is certainly something 'substantial' and is not at all 'baseless'. This mass of evidence is the base.
Swami, creating a puppet to say what you can't is more underhand than oldwoodspecter editing the word many.

Sounds like Swami was unjustly convicted of a crime against Humanity/Shroomery. In my book, all bets would be off at that point.

Heh, you never saw what I posted in private.
I only posted shit in those threads because nobody else was answering the "Mob's" questions. I had no clue that I was opening Pandora's box. I had nothing to do with either ban.
Swami was unjustly banned, but it all REALLY stemmed from a complaint, which was not researched very well, I'm afraid, in Swami's case, he was banned first, and Shroomery Staff asked questions later (I wish you could see THOSE threads).
Really, it took 1 1/2 months of discussion before the Staff figured out our policy on Swami Trolling... which seems to be, "We have no policy."
So, Swami got banned unjustly, but the Staff learned its lesson, and has stopped baseless bannings.
Aw... nostalgia.
