This is the last time I'll be able to post for a while. I'm sorry that I haven't been on the boards lately- all of my time has been consumed with wedding plans, getting a new job and moving stuff, plus all the stress that goes with that!
I'm leaving the office now, and I'll be packing my final things and getting on a plane very early in the morning tomorrow. I shall check in again when I can! I'll see you all later, from a different computer!

have fun. i have family in hawaii, my cousin even offered me a couch for a few months if i want to move there and look for a place. i'd do it if i wasn't so poor.

So now I'm here. Harvey and I survived the long flights over the ocean and through quarantine... It's all that you'd expect a sleeply little paradise town to be. The weather is great, 86 and sunny every day, the beach is beautiful, the flowers amazing, the people friendly and my new job is great.
And I'm lonely here all by myself 
What is there to do for fun on an island, and where do all of the cool people (who aren't tourists) hang out?

i use to live on oahu...if you're on oahu, what side of the island are you on? maybe i can help with places to go. it really depends on what you're into though. like if you want to party, or go hiking...stuff like that.

I love this quote by the way We have some pretty amazing lights in a few of our fields here, which they use to induce flowering when the winter days are warm and sunny but don't have quite enough light to make the little crops happy. Quite the system!
I'm living on Maui, so the whole island is a short drive away. I'm in the middle of the island, I think near where Flipped ended up. I do like to hike and be outside, but my outdoor hours unfortunately need to be restricted while my pastey white skin adjusts to the new latitude Mostly I'm just lonely. I'd love someone to hike or snorkle with, but i'd be happy with just grilling supper on the beach with someone. I go for long periods of time without talking because there is no one here.
I'm open to all suggestions! Anyone who's ever been to Maui or heard anything about it, I welcome your ideas of cool places to go and things to see

if you go long periods without talking, it's best to sing out loudly..with a smile. it works. even if you can't sing.
maui is a VERY chill place. it's kind of like being out in the country in the mainland. i don't know what to tell you...i'd love to come and hang out though! and i know what you mean about being pastey. since i've been gone, it seems like the sun doesn't shine here.

It is a very chill place here! Like you said, all the farmers of Hawaii are here, and they are a quite bunch of people. Even the tourists here don't swarm like they do on Oahu. The problem is that I don't have anyone to chill with at the moment, which makes it lonely.
