Need some advice...
    #4110191 - 04/29/05 10:04 AM (12 years, 6 months ago)

Hello ,
I really want to go to this music school in Brighton (in the UK) to learn guitar , the things i am worried about /not sure about is ,  i don't know what songs to play for an audition to get in , they say the audition/interview is informal and you talk for about an hour on what you want to achieve by coming to the school (e.g music teacher , session player , or just be in a good band etc.)

The school have allot of industry contacts too so that's good and some of the teachers include members of well known bands.

The thing is, i would have to move from where i live (Scotland) to Brighton (the bottom of England) and it seems daunting , i still live with my parents so this would essentially be leaving home.

I would live there for about 2 years but maybe 3 or 4 because of the courses i wan to do.

So the question is: what would be some good songs to play at the audition/interview , I'd say I'm about an intermediate guitarist , I can learn most things if i sit down and try it but i probably couldn't do some really really hard songs yet.

and do you think i should go for it? , it seems like a really cool opportunity but I'm a bit scared.

Thank you very much.
