Science meets fiction - My favorite technology sites.
    #4109994 - 04/29/05 07:32 AM (13 years, 4 months ago)

Hey all,

Though I'd post a few of my favorite science and technology sites.

First of all, if you haven't seen it, I can't emphasize just how good the New Scientist website is. Although some articles are reserved for subscribers, non-subscribers get a great selection of new articles every day, and allot of the 'members only' articles will turn up for public consumption after a few weeks too.

Technovelgy is all about where science meets fiction. It isn't updated as often as New Scientist, but has some great articles.

My favorite recent find is the Heliodisplay from IO2Technology, a display device that projects floating 2 dimensional touch screens into thin air that is already commercially available (only $18,400 for a 22" model  ).

Finally I'll give 20Q a mention. The AI that reads your mind. Well, if you give it enough info

If you haven't seen Orion's Arm you should check that site out! They have a TONN of great sci-fi material, and lots of short-stories and such to read. Highly recommended!
