ARGH! (aka help me with computer problem)

(Not posted in tech forum because I need help asap)


I've been having problems with my computer (few threads here about it) but I think I've sorted it all.

One problem remains - I can't install the modem (BT voyager 105). Whenever I go to install it, it says:

'You must reboot your computer to complete the installation."

So, I reboot the computer, and when it logs in again, I get the same message - 'You must reboot your computer to complete the installation." It just keeps saying this over and over whenever I try to install it.

I have no idea why this is happening. I downloaded the latest drivers from the website onto a floppy, but my computer doesnt detect the floppy disk, so I can't use it.

Help ASAP please. Thanks.

goto control panel / system / hardware [tab up top] / device manager
click modems
delete what is there
reboot and when windows finds the device click 'specify location' for driver installation
put in wherever you downloaded and unzipped the drivers too, doesnt have to be the floppy disk, a:\ to access the floppy though.
