I'm feeling underwhelmed with the whole world
    #4109129 - 04/29/05 12:40 AM (11 years, 7 months ago)

I think this world has become a bunch of selfish slobs. The US govt is all about selfish motives. I don't know. Where is the good in this world? People are just as worthy as a pile of maggots. We're not so great.

I'm not in a bad mood. I really feel this way. What is it about the world that is worth living for?

Sounds like someone had a bad day =(

I feel ya though. Not too much in my life that makes me smile. Government is weak. I have faith in some people. A lot of people I have no faith in. Just gotta take it day by day.

People in general pretty much suck, but there are good people out there. They just seem like they're few and far between sometimes, but they're out there. There's still hope for humanity, believe it or not....

The people that survived in nature seemed to be the treacherous ones. Those that didn't hesitate to use any method to survive are the ancestors of many humans we have today.

Except now that we're projected on a global scale, our evolution is really becoming obvious. Humans aren't meant to be kind, or altruistic, or humanitarian. They're meant to survive and reproduce by any means possible, and if that involves killing, stealing, or fucking people over, so be it.

Where are the good people in this world? Wherever mutants flourish you'd be bound to find some good people, but otherwise I wouldn't put any serious effort into finding them. Most are just masks to further their own desires and life.

there is a slight chance that a very bloody worldwide revolution will take place. corrupt governments will be overthrown, walmart will be destroyed, and we will all revert to simpler lifestyles.

i'd settle for just one of the above.

Masks, exactly. That's entirely the thing that makes me sick. I truly feel like I live in a horror story, where everyone is wearing these "good citizen" masks. On the inside everyone is a swirling mess, and it's plain to see. This society is choking to our true nature, but our true nature may not be wonderful either. None of us here could know what that is.

I'll get this freaky cartoon for you all. I like it.

ok here

Quick questions, and I really don't mean to offend in any way. I want to make comparisons with people I know.

a.) Do you have a girlfriend?
b.) Do you smoke a lot of pot?
c.) Do you go to school? What kind?
d.) Do you have a job?

what a sad thread.

Help yourselfs and just have a happy out look on life. We may think we know or dont know the meaning of life...or why where here. But life has been in existence for trillions of times longer then us humans have been here. Don't get yourself down thinking you know we have no purpose to this life. Things are much deeper then any of us know or think we know. You only live once. Your memory's die with our body's. I say you get the most out of life. that means not stopping and thinking about how bad it is. Take the good with the bad, Live in the good...forget the bad. Create with that rare brain we are given. Use it to the max!

RedNukleus ... go out in nature...away from the city. Alone. Just be. Your questions may never be answered but live your life to the fullest. Don't be sad about the way others act. The world can be a great place!

Ravus... We all where masks...but i do feel that there are good people out there willing to bring themselves down to help another.

Sounds like you could benifite from a change of scenery/company/lifestyle.

I think a big reason so many people are depressed is because the mainstreem american lifestyle (school/college/job/family/death/fill in details at your discression) is truley detrimental to many a human soul. This is not a healthy way to live. Spiritually, physically, or mentally.

Don't know what you need personaly, but a change may be in order.

When I was kid my dad used to always tell me, 'There is no gravity. The world sucks!' When you get bummed out like that listen to Coltrane.

What is this? It is a prolate spheroid, an elongated sphere in which the outer leather casing is drawn tightly over a somewhat smaller rubber tubing. Better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football.

-John Heisman

"I didn’t dive on one fumble because the way my leg was (positioned)," Newton told reporters in Charlotte on Tuesday. "It could have been contorted in a way. You say my effort? I didn’t dive down. I fumbled - that’s fine. That’s fine. We didn’t lose the game because of that fumble.”

Hey man, I agree with you 100%.

Not much you can do about it. Just be thankful for the good people you DO have in your life. Why give a flying fuck about the assholes?

You're here because you know something.
What you know you can't explain,
But you feel it;
You've felt it your entire life.
That there's something wrong with the world.
You don't know what it is, but it's there....
Like a splinter in your mind...
Driving you mad.

Hah, well judging by your answers, I got nothin. All my friends see eye to eye with you. They "aren't depressed" but are highly dissapointed in the world, but then again they all have the oppostie answers you do.

So shit if I know. Buck up I guess.

stop complaining about the world and try to do something about it

For me the reason to continue is:

- New things.
- The will to find out what happens on 20-12-2012
- My kids
- Sun ups and downs
- Rain
- New people
- Pets
- Goose bumps
- Wind
- Love
- Smell
- The seasons
- Music
- Peace of mind
- Tranquility
- Beautiful people

And much, much more.

I agree the world looks like a shithole. I just try to focus on the good things around me more.
