I have as of now been casing with verm and perlite for humidification... I was just wondering as to what level of success any have had with casing in medium tupperware-type containers with perlite humidification only... ? I have to say that I think I have had very good results... I live in Colorado and was just interested in your experiences and what area you reside... Thanks and peace.
... just joking.

Im not sure i understand your questions fully you only actually case with verm an use the per. for humidification in yer chamber i would assume, lately i've givin up the per well just a sprinkling in the bottom [couldnt get it all up due to casings being in the wAY AN DIDNT WANT TO PULLEM OUT,I USE MANURE of various types for casing an it usually provides enough humidity with out the per here in the mid west ,seems that over humid conditions seem to promote the evil green mold ,as far as using verm alone no i dont do it but it should do very well as a casing, due to the fact that it has no nutritive value to molds that we want to dodge an holds moisture fairly well ,as far as containers go i use sum thing similar to what you describe an have enough yields to satisfy my needs ,it really depends just how much you need or want to grow ,spacing out a number of casings as opposed to just afew big ones would help due to the fact of contams if your few get contamed you are done with that batch but the odds of a number of smaller ones would prolly help in that a lesser amount of media ,substrate would be used in each so if sum went bad youwouldnt be out as much .hope this helps sum Mew

use verm casings, has gone fine. use perlite too, and got a handspray and spray that as well, when i think it needs it. i got small containers, medium ones, and large ones, was gonna se what gave best amount of shrooms. 1 jar per casing, 2, 3, 4 etc, but forgot which shrooms came from where, if memory is correct i think the medium ones have done the best but i dunno. just try it and experiment yourself. it will work, you will find out what works best for you.

i too live in co. i've tried perlite humidification and had no better results that with just water which works fine if the temp is right. check it every couple of days to make sure you don't run out of water for humidity - and be sure to check the casing medium for moisture since it could possibily dry up even with humidity in the chamber. use clean water.
