We are all the same
    #4107547 - 04/28/05 03:31 PM (18 years, 10 months ago)

When you get right down to the bottom of it, human beings are all the same. Our existence can be described as a bunch of DNA strands that form together to make a living thing (a human being, in our case). Those strands combine somehow to set the blueprint for a living organism that is aware of the concept that it spends its time pondering ideas like the nature of its own existence, among other things.

Catch my drift? We're a very introspective creature...but we don't think of other animals that way. So we are very different from those other species. But all human beings are essentially the same, as our common DNA would suggest.

So how can we account for the enormous range of all of our unique personalities? What determines our personality? Is it even significant that we are self-aware? Who determines what's important like that?

If we are all the same in one sense, bio-molecullarly, how can we all seem to be completely different from another perspective, psychologically?

Discuss!

Lemme guess, your next post in this thread will go something like this;

Everything is one because.... and ... and... because... one :hug:

If you're all trying to tell me I'm thinking too much then  :finger: It's fun!

Funny, I can't find anything in this thread that suggests that... perhaps it's your own subconscious sending you this message.

Maybe we're telling you you're not thinking enough... Or maybe we're not telling you :tongue:. Or maybe "                                                                      ".

This 'stuff' we have that animals don't is just an opening, a doorway. We could be dumb as an animal if we wanted to, if we chose to. Or if we choose to, we can be enlightened. We have been given the power of creation so it's up to us how we use it. Many people don't realize they have it so the energy just builds up while they're oblivious of it, and then the dam breaks. But many people also create wonderful things with their creation energy.

We can choose who we want to be. Everyone has the potential to be enlightened, there is 'Buddha Nature' in us all. So what humans have been given is a mental gateway to God, and that is the journey. Everybody is at different stages, so everybody is different. And people at the same stage don't all have to express themselves the same way.

THat's funny, because I got the feeling the first couple posts said "You're thinking too much", right along with the original poster.
