Has anyone tried this before?

This is something I've decided to do:
Since most contamination occurs within the 1st few days-week of innoculation then why not wait a bit to innoculate? If common problems, such as yeast and cobweb mold seem to get their foothold in the early stages then why not wait to make sure you you aren't innoculating "rotten" jars?
I guess the only con to this that "I" can think of(which is wwhy I am asking for other opinions)is that you'd be giving other contams more time to develop. But would waiting 3, or so, days make that big of a difference?

When jars are steril, they're steril, I think its actually innoculating them that causes the initial infection. FLAME YOUR DAMN NEEDLE! that's my motto!

If not steril, then you are giving shit more time to develope

damned if you do damned if you don't, that's my other motto

I totaly agree. ShroomWizard recomends at least three days. It seems to me that if the jars are prepared right and sterile that nothing should pop up for weeks...if ever! I'm sure that keeping them in a fridge might even increase the time that they could sit before inoculation. Also, by waiting three days or more after prepareing jars, in many cases, a person can get a better idea if a vendor was the source of of some killer green fungus or not.

Thak you, thankyou.
I think I'll continue waiting a few days to innoculate. I agree that if done right there would minimal contams and the same applies to innoculating correctly. But since you can doublecheck on the jars "before" innoculating...
Anyone else got some feedback?

hell no. keep an unopened jar aside without touching it. it will serve as your control. if your sterilization process was to blame then you'll know later. waiting three days is wasting three days.

Thanks. That sounds like a great idea. But using a control wouldn't prevent he spores you injected from being wasted.

On a side note...
...would someone(as many as possible) say several words about what a Real problem contamination is so I can show the post to the person whose house my friend is growing in. For starters, how about how you shouldn't open doors connected to the room you are doing your work in (definately when they are directly connected to the great outdoors). And "please" feel free to expand on the topic

Disclamer;)*
*he's a really cool(trustworthy) dude(or my friend wouldn't be growing there and giving him half the harvest). but my friend can't get him to read anything about growing so he'll know how important keeping things sterile is. I'm hoping that I can have my friend show him your responses so he'll stop thinking our friend simply worries too much.
Thanks
