Florida Massage School between Gainesville and Ocala (on 441) has good feedback. I have friends who went there too.

my boyfriend is a masseuse. jesus christ every time he gives me a full body massage i fall in love with him all over again. he went to the aveda school in florida. you might want to try that. aveda is a good company to work for. if i have my facts right they don't use any animal by products in their merchandise and it's cruelty free. plus aveda is a salon. what big fat hairy dudes go there?

Hey uh, shroomism, like somebody here mentioned going to school for two years to do this, that sounds kind of expensive. I know you into like spirituality, so if you serious, I can help you get into a Buddhist temple in Thailand. You would have to study for one month every single day, all sunlight hours, and you would have some special rules since you would live in the temple. But the price is right, the temple is world famous, you would get one certificate, and you would really learn. Anyways if you interested pm me for details. I only mentioned it too you cuz you have one good nature.

What are you doing for a career now shroomism:?]
I'm currently in school for massage therapy which will last another 6 months and i think it's totally worth it. So fun and rewarding thus far. It's only been a month but it has already opened doors for me. I would definitely recommend it. , we are learning lots of eastern and western prac modalities and pratices. acupressure is so neat. Just bought a book on chinese medicine , all is cool 'tis very coool.
any other practitioners on the board? where you at?

Wow old thread. It's funny reading this and realizing how much peoples' lives and goals change over the years. We all have so many different ideas and directions in which we could go. The winds of fate always make the final decision though.

You can make pretty good money. Both of the massage therapists I've been to have run their shop out of their home and charge ~$90/hr. That's pretty good if you can get a decent customer base.
