DB compost:how much longer will it be around?
    #410623 - 10/01/01 09:50 PM (22 years, 5 months ago)

I'm getting ready to move to seattle with a freind in about a month and I can't wait to grow with freedom,I live with my parents now.Well I want some of that compost and it seems like it might not be around forever. Is there a good enough supply that I can still get some in Nov.Also,is it possible to order w/ a C.C.

That's really funny, compost costs about .05 / lb to make, why would they quit making it?

I guess your right but I've seen some recipes for mushroom compost and it doesn't sound easy to do at all.The easiest one I've found takes about a month to make and most the ingredients I've never heard of.I doubt it's that cheap.

Are you really set on home made compost?? Why not get some dry horse or cow shit from around a farm or something, have you seen dioz(sp) pics about his DDD dairy dung??? Good stuff!!! You could just grab some shit , pasturize, mix w/ some colonized substrate, then case or not.

I've made ALOT of good compost, I've never weighed it, but I know I can make hundreds of pounds for about $10-$15. Not too hard to make at all. The only thing hard to find in DB compost(at least for me) would be the alder shavings, but straw can be substituted.

Do you have have a specific Tek that you use to make the compost? I'd be interested in trying to make it myself.

I'm still inexperienced with casings and don't have the money to blow on DB compost with all of the failures I'm sure I'll have once I try it. Otherwise it looks like good stuff.

Thanks,

thedm9

From thdm9...

In reply to:

okay, now wait a sec. i am the furthest you can get from a conspiracy theorist, but this bugs me. now, i will say i dont know you thedm9, but i think youre lying about something- and its meant to hurt ryche.

everyone- follow my lead here.

Thedm9 has been accused of being a puppet in the past weeks, as he/she has been a newbie trying out the hydra-pod. So what, ive been called a puppet once, i said .... we all make mistakes. But keep that in mind, and hold hands on the way-

T posted back on 9/25 that he/she needs a good rye tek, since rye is not working. The rye from the DB kit. Okay, people fail at rye (HQ cant do it either! birdseed birdseed birdseed...) - and this is a complaint with the db kit from a few people. Not a big deal. But notice how the question- asking for a good rye tek- is the vehicle for a slam on ryche's rye of the db kit... And also take care to note the question- if pf wafers can be used- implying T has DB compost to use with pf "wafers"...Post One

Then, 9/27 rolls around and T responds to a post asking about ryche/the. Nice, if he/she were a customer, right? Normal. T says that ryche is cool for spores, but that the kit is no good- the rye is "wack". Okay, again- rye can suck. But notice he says he has the compost- but hasnt had a chance to use it cos ryche's rye sucks. Post Two.

But then! look up boys and grrls! T says now, today, 10/2 (5 days after the last ryche slam) that he wants a compost recipe- because:
1.) he/she doesnt *the money to blow on DB compost* (read: its too expensive)
AND
2.) it is prone to failure - *all of the failures I'm sure I'll have once I try it*
EVEN THOUGH T SUPPOSEDLY OWNS THE COMPOST ALREADY- T needs a recipe since the compost is too expensive to buy and is prone to failure... (??!) did he/she forget they already own the compost, but havent used it since ryche's rye sucked...

but it is nice that he throws in a "compliment" to ryche: *Otherwise it looks like good stuff.* WTF? Its expensive and prone to failure, but it looks good! ??!

All of the posts about the DB kit and ryche have some sort of "compliment" in them- but they really are pointed attacks on the DB kit, veiled with a general compliment.. They attack:
1.) the rye
2.) The cost
3.) Its very use (as its prone to failure)...

This is unscrupulous. Even if it were someone just trying to attack THE / the DB kit (and is not the vendor who has been accused of using T as a puppet)- theyre LYING about owning it, and every post theyve made has pretty much been either an attack on ryche or something about the hydrapod. There has been a systematic chipping away of the DB kit in T's posts over the course of his/her membership here.

SO. im calling you out on this one. i dont call people out, btw- ask around, or maybe you know already. and perhaps im paranoid. but i want someone else besides T to tell me i am. then ill shut up. but this fucking PISSES ME OFF- this secretive chipping away at vendors SHOULD NOT HAPPEN in FAKE REPORTS OF THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

Yeah! Karma, and stuff!
Also i thin that that whole puppet theory is totally whack, nobody would go to all the troble of that for such a pointless reason, you know, it just doesn't make any sense

I am not a puppet

Thank you....I'm glad you see those post as evidence NOW. You caused a hell of a lot of stir in figuring it out, in a very non professional immature way. Those post and the email is for real. That is McMan showing his true colors. Thor and 3D are damn good ppl, they have no reason to lie about this, so is Anno from what I can tell. None of us like all this drama, but McMan's actions speak loud and clear. He has to go.
Perhaps you believed in SOMEONES word to much. I've been there.
Some Ppl are very deceiving and they are intelligent at doing so. Be careful.
