They're streaming it free online if you're a member of the NIN mailing list. It's good. It reminds me of equal parts prettyhatemachine and equal parts The Fragile... so far that is. I haven't finished it yet.

I heard that they were streaming it but since I'm seeing them live on Sunday at Coachella I decided not to listen to it...I'm gonna hear it for the first time live, during a cool desert night. I can't wait. Glad to hear you think it's good though.

Okay I've finished it. It's good.
I was worried when I listened to the single, but somehow Trent pulls one out of his ass again. Hip Hip Hooray!

I have a feeling I'm really going to love it. I hear "All the Love in the World" is really good...I actually like The Hand That Feeds.

Yeah you're going to eat it up! I was hesitant, but it turned out to be soooooo tasty!
And now that I've listened to "The hand that feeds" in conjunction with the album it's growing on me.

It sounds good but I found the lyrics to be rather uninspired in this album.

Whereas Trent's music grows, his lyrics tend to stay the (highschool) same.

My thoughts exactly. Lyrically he has his moments of brilliance, but the music is where it's at. Most of the time his lyrics are angry goth kid lyrics.

i think his lyrics are exactly what his music calls for.
anything else would make it less amazing.

I wasn't too impressed on the first listen. I'll probably give it another go sometime soon, as The Fragile and the bonus (Still) CD of And All That Could Have Been are among my favorite albums.
Bellylard, come to the Shroomery Soulseek room. I have the album.

Yeah that is my favorite track. It is very good.
Sounds like Trent's been listening to Tool (from Trent's quiet intensity) and Radiohead (Hey, Trent got a new keyboard!).
What you get is a new album that sounds like early NIN... but Trent's a better singer than he was in the early years, but his voice is starting to sound its age.
All in all, it is one of the best albums I've heard this year. Much more variety than some of his recent stuff.

damn, fucking have a fucking blast man! nine inch nails has been my favorite band for about 12 years now. the fragile tour was the most amazing show i've ever seen. just something about the audio induced emotional states nin puts me into...
they played two shows in phoenix, in a small venue last night and thursday night. fucking tickets sold out in 2 minutes, $500 for a pair on ebay. maybe if i was more on the ball i could have gone, but i've missed it. now i have something i'm going to regret for a long, long time. but arena shows in the fall... no selling out that shit. and the album, i found it weird to settle into, but i'm liking it more as it gets more rotations.
have fun man... i envy your impending ear damage.
