5 shrooms to those who help
    #4104861 - 04/27/05 11:24 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

2. ?The years of Franklin D. Roosevelt?s presidency represented one of the great turning points in American history. Afterwards, the American political, social, economic, and cultural landscape could never look the same.? Evaluate this quotation, making sure that you include material from lectures and the assigned readings.

Political and economic, government played a larger role in reviving the broken economy. Most notably, the new deal and various government sponsored organizations. The overall trend led to great deficit spending by the government. The government invested in the economy to attempt to stimulate the marke t(give a little, get a lot). Deficit spending was the key point in his economic program.

World War II was a big deal (obviously). He basically treaded around war and most likely would have entered it without Pearl Harbor. His policies regarding hostilities against his shipping lines and his policies regarding the protection of his shipping lines indicated that he was highly biased towards the Allies (big surprise).

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

Wouldn't it be easier to do it yourself instead of waiting for an uneducated guess?

Thanks to Roosevelt's new deal, government has grown out of control and with it the robbing of hard working citizens' wages.

FDR was a horrible president. He introduced measures which increased the size of the federal government exponentially.
