Tripping and being deaf

I was recently struck on the head with a baseball bat, and now I'm damn near completely deaf in my left ear. It's most likely permanent...
I was wondering if this will affect a shroom or acid trip. It rings alot and I'm not too sure if it would be a good idea to trip. Maybe I'll try a low dose of shrooms and see how that goes. Does anyone here know anything about this type of thing?

Tripping should be fine....in fact it will probably be great; it will help you experience sound again.

I personally wouldjust start of low again, see how it goes. i dont have any experience with the condition though. if the rining is too much maybe music would drown it out? just a suggestion. good luck

Well hopefull the ringing will go away at least. Music doesn't really help, because I can't hear it in the ear that's ringing anyways.
Damn, why did that prick have to nail me with a baseball bat...

Well, I got knocked out outside, and ran for help when I woke up. I saw that this guy was sleeping right next to a window, so I knocked on it. I was out there for maybe 5 minutes knocking on the window, and this guy was apparently afraid to come out cause he didn't know who I was. I had been knocking harder and harder, figuring out with my drunk logic that they couldn't hear me. Sure enough, the window shattered, and the guy came out with a bat.
Next words I hear are "Good afternoon. You're at Foothills hospital, you have been in a coma. You were hit in the head with a baseball bat."

Sorry to hear about your ear. I went deaf in my left ear a few years back before I ever tripped. Once you accept being deaf and everything that goes with that, it won't be an issue when you're tripping. But if you're still kind of shocked/depressed/mad about your condition, I would not dose just yet.

That sucks really bad. How did you get knocked out? Or did you just pass out from being drunk.

I'm not too rattled by this. I've been getting used to it for the past 5 weeks, its not that bad.

Not too sure. They found a second fracture on the back of my skull (not from the bat). If I fall when I'm drunk, I don't fall backwards, and I didn't have a drink for about an hour and a half then, so I don't think I passed out. I suspect foulplay by the drunken natives who live at the nearby reserve...

Too poor for a lawyer.
And believe it or not, the cops were considering charging me instead of him.

Or consumption and criminal mischief...
I would guess, depending on the local laws, that hitting someone on the head with a baseball bat is either assault and battery or attempted murder.

hey you're like me now. My left ear has been deaf my whole life. I dont see how it would affect tripping, the ringing is always there but you get used to it and forget about it.
As long as you take good care of the good ear you'll still be able to enjoy music and understand what people say to you, as long as they're not directly to your left. in which case your gonna have to say "what?" a lot.
if you get tired of saying what there are other options: -pardon? -excuse me? -Hmm? -say that again -I'm sorry? <-- thats my favorite

Five weeks? Yeah, I think you'd be fine with an average dose especially with your attitude.

Does it come up during a trip? Because sometimes it gets really loud.
I'll probably be waiting another month or so, when everything is green.

Does it get so loud that it distracts you? I have ringing in my deaf ear too, and it also gets loud sometimes. But it's easy to ignore. Even while tripping, your buzzing ear would be the least interesting thing to captivate you.
